Abuja—Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, governorship aspirant in Edo State, Mr. Kenneth Imansuangbon, has listed job creation and improved security as his priority if elected governor of the state.

In an address to Edo indigenes in Washing-ton DC area in the United States of America, Imasuagbon said that if successful in the 2012 gubernatorial election, he will create 50,000 decent jobs in his first three months in office.

In a statement by the Director-General of his campaign organisation, Mr. Ben Edo-Osagie, Imasuagbon said: “No nation can develop wi-thout empowering the people economically and if more people are em-ployed, more people will patronise markets and this will in turn create more employment.

“If more people are employed, cases of insecurity and crime will drop as people would be able to take care of their families. A nation’s standard of living is determined by, among other things, the economic condition of the nation and the produc-tivity of her citizens.”

Imansuagbon promised to construct roads for easy evacuation of farm products from the hinterland to the urban centres of the state if he becomes the governor.

He added that his government’s priority would be the empowerment of the people especially women, youths, market women, widows and pensioners through micro-finance loans and vocational training.
