Chairman, Delta State House of Assembly Committee on Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission, DESOPADEC, Mr. Friday Osanebi, has said that the state lawmakers will support the commission in achieving its objectives.

Speaking at a meeting of the House Committee with management of DESOPADEC, Osanebi commended the management of the commission for what it was able to do within the short while it was inaugurated, which, according to him, showed that the commission and committee have the same vision.

He said the committee will soon start working to ensure that the commission executes projects that will benefit the communities.

He added that the committee has a role to play to ensure that the commission performed its functions well, adding that this can only be achieved by allowing the committee carry out her oversight function.
