OWERRI – Hearing resumed yesterday in the suit filed before the Governorship Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Owerri, by Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, against the declaration of Chief Rochas Okorocha as governor of Imo State.

The defendant, All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, fielded three witnesses as they opened their defence, while Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, called one witness.

When cross examined by PDP’s counsel, Chief Awa Kalu (SAN), INEC’s defence witness, Mr. Julius Odikwa, admitted that election was held April 16, 2011, in Ohaji/Egbema, Oguta and Mbaitoli local government areas.

The INEC defence witness equally affirmed the results collated from the polling units on April 16, 2011, and certified by his establishment.
