Group fuses with Ondo ACN for 2013

BY DAYO JOHNSON

AKURE-AHEAD of the 2013 governorship election in Ondo State, a political group, the Sunshine Liberation Forum, SLF, Monday fused with the Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN, in the State and vowed to dislodge the Labour Party, LP, from the government house.

The Chairman of the SLF Mr Ojo Victor at a briefing in Akure, said their decision to join the ACN was in the interest of the people of the state and to ensure the state join the mainstream of Yoruba politics.

Ojo said since all the states in the southwest geo-political zone with the exception of Ondo are controlled by the ACN, there was the need for the state to join the league of ‘progressives’ in the country.

He added that the mission of the SLF is tailored alongside the vision of unparalleled and unequalled Late Sage Obafemi Awolowo, to right the wrong, to do justice and to serve man.

He said the group having reflected and prayed on what is happening in the state had concluded that the interest of Ondo State would be better served if the group fuss into ACN where the sister states have found solace.

Ojo added that ACN is the party that shares the ideology of their founding fathers.
