Chime task outgoing LG bosses on projects

Enugu—Governor Sullivan Chime of Enugu State has urged outgoing local government council chairmen in the state to complete on-going projects before leaving office in December .

The Commissioner for Information, Mr Chuks Ugwoke, disclosed this on Wednesday in Enugu after a meeting with the State Economic Planning Commission.

Ugwoke said the commission applauded the efforts of the chairmen, who performed creditably in the discharge of their duties.

He said it also expressed satisfaction on the pace of work on some projects that had been executed by the state in partnership with the council chairmen.

The commissioner said that some of the projects completed by the state government in partnership with the local governments included Nsukka-Bagwa-Ogrute-Aji Ette road and the Nkoro-Nike-Ugwago road, all in Nsukka Local Government Area of Enugu State.

The commission, according to Ugwoke, also reviewed stages of work done by the federal, and state governments, as well as donor agencies in the local government areas in the state.
