2015 guber: Uduaghan advises Anioma to close ranks

By Austin Ogwuda

Asaba-Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan of Delta State has urged Anioma people to eschew in-fighting and perfect their strategies to enable them produce the next governor.

Going by the zoning formula, political pundits believe it was the turn of Delta North to produce the next governor by 2015, Delta Central and Delta South having had their turns.

Uduaghan, who gave the advice while addressing Anioma people at Onicha-Ugbo, Monday, said they needed to be united to realise their political, cultural and economic aspirations.

He drew their attention to the current trends in the political terrain, where in-fighting and struggle for power had made some ethnic nationalities to lose choice positions.

Uduaghan said: “Power is given by God and it was only the one who God gives power that can win an election. It does not matter how much money you have or how tall and fat you are. Once God has not given you the power, you cannot win.”

He stressed his determination to promote equity, political balance and sustainable peace in the state.
