UN House blast aimed at rubbishing Jonathan – Ikwerre monarchs

 By George Onah

Port Harcourt –  The Ikwerre Traditional Rulers Council, Rivers State, has urged the Federal Government to get to the root of the bomb blast, which rocked the UN building in Abuja.  The traditional rulers want sponsors of the heinous crime, fished out with a view to punishing and stamping out the embarrassing act.

Chairman of the council,  King Frank Eke, told newsmen, in Port Harcourt, yesterday, that the crime was primarily targeted at rubbishing the image of the Federal Government and administration of President Goodluck Jonathan.

Eke said it would not be enough to arrest the agents of the blast but that “the sponsors are the major culprits, who will stop at nothing but continue to initiate the act of terrorism, which has caused great pain to the people and country.”

He said: “We trust the police and other security agencies because we know they possess the ability to pick them out wherever they may be hiding. We know that with thorough investigations and commitment, the sponsors would be fished out.”
