WARRI- Illegal structures erected on the right-of-way of the multi-billion naira Trans-Warri-Ode-Itsekiri bridges and access road project are to be demolished.
Warri monarch, His Majesty Ogiame Atuwatse II, Olu of Warri, Delta State, gave the directive at his palace, weekend, when the Project Director, Mr. Otimeyin Adams led the new Zonal Manager, Engr. Zakhia and the Senior Project Manager, Engr. Ellie Chidi of Setraco, the construction firm handling the project, paid him a courtesy visit.
The royal father counselled Setraco on the need for the speedy completion of the project. He said: “This is the time for action.”
Earlier, Mr. Adams told the monarch that Setraco intends to move to Big-Warri to commence road construction and urged him to appeal to the communities and youths in the various villages on the route to co-operate with the company to allow for smooth operation.
He added that Setraco was not an oil prospecting company to be encumbered by every manner of communal demands, capable of frustrating the good intention of Governor Uduaghan.
He assured that youths of these communities would be duly engaged as the job progresses to their area and solicited their understanding.
