LAGOS- PENDING the determination of the autopsy, Police investigation into the murder last week, of a Lagos businessman, Mr. Kezeem Ademoye has been concluded, Vanguard can authoritatively report.
Sources said the team of detectives attached to homicide section (D4) of the State Criminal Investigation Department SCID, Panti Street, Yaba, has concluded their findings and submitted report to the Officer in Charge (OC) SCID, Mr. Abdulahi Yuguda, a Deputy Commissioner of Police.
Sources said the family head, Mr. Adesegun Agbaye gave evidence, and the deceased’s ‘son’, Mr. Tunde Ademoye, 15, also gave evidence on how he met his mother seated downstairs unruffled and watching a movie after he was rudely woken up from sleep by a loud noise.
It was gathered that though the autopsy report is yet to be out, part of police findings totally debunked claims by the killer-wife, Mrs. Ngozi Ademoye, that she killed her husband all alone during an early morning fight. It was discovered that the cuts in the deceased’s skull was not deep enough to have resulted in the death of the Lagos socialite described by friends and associates as very “respectful and humble gentleman.”
Vanguard further gathered that the report dismissed claims by the widow that after her husband slumped during the fight, she quickly ran out, locked the door against him and rushed downstairs to watch a movie on the TV; that she was all the while downs-stairs while some other persons could have been upstairs perpetrating the heinous act.
Part of police query was that the guard was given three days off prior to Mr. Kazeem Ademoye’s murder, fueling speculation that she actually wanted a clean job.
According to the report, the police was not comfortable with the widow’s claims that she cleaned the blood of her late husband all alone; concluding that the murder of the 45 year-old Ademoye was premeditated and perfectly hatched by agents of his wife.
Vanguard further scooped that the legal department of the SCID has given its advice on the matter, and that the killer-wife may be arraigned Wednesday, September 28 for murder after the autopsy comes out today.
However, family sources told Vanguard that arrangements to have late Kazeem buried on Friday has been concluded. Mr. Agbaye, head of Ademoye’s family, in a chat, said the delay in the burial of his murdered cousin was to give the police ample time to do their investigations as well as the get the autopsy.
He said that he was absolutely sure that the deceased could have been strangled by more than two persons who came into his room while he was fast asleep; while the UPS gadget was equally used on his head.
He said: “Though the autopsy is not out yet, I can authoritatively tell you that that claim that she used UPS gadget on his head and he slumped and died was all petty lies.
“I don’t want to pre-empt the autopsy but I know that my brother was killed by more than two persons. After the autopsy I will address a world press conference to tell the world the kind of woman my brother married.
“For now, I want to keep my calm and have him buried possibly on Friday before I open my mouth. I am sure by Tuesday, latest, the autopsy will be out and you will quote me that it was not the cut on his skull that killed him.”
