Shema urges Nigerians to embrace dialogue

KATSINA— Governor Ibrahim Shehu Shema of Katsina state has urged Nigerians to embrace dialogue as a means of settling differences.

A statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Alhaji Lawal Matazu, a copy of which was made available to Vanguard stressed that recourse to violence would not help those involved achieve any political cause.

‘’I want to appeal to Nigerians to avoid resolving issues through violence and always consider dialogue as the best approach to settling differences,’’ Shema was quoted as saying.

The Governor who spoke against the backdrop of recent bomb blasts in the country; especially the, Abuja UN House Bombing that claimed 23 lives.

The extremist Islamic Boko Haram sect claimed responsibility for the dastardly act.
