No congestion at ENL-Management

By Ifeyinwa Obi

Operators of terminals C and D of the Lagos Port Complex Apapa, ENL Consortium, has denied reports that there was congestion at the terminal.

General Manager of ENL Consortium, Mr. Mark Walsh, who denied the allegation, said there was no vessel queue at the terminal at any point in time.

Walsh advised journalists to refrain from mischief and cross check their facts before feeding the reading public with misleading information and innuendos with attendant adverse effects on the economy.

He said: “I am surprised about the report on the so-called congestion because when you talk about congestion, you talk about vessels queuing outside for several days before coming in but that is certainly not happening at our terminal. We do not have any vessel queue at the terminal and vessel turnaround time is at its best.”

Walsh noted that ENL had commenced full implementation of the minimum standard for dockworkers in the maritime industry.
