NB boosts energy drink profile with Climax launch

Nigeria Breweries Plc has raised the profile of energy rinks in the market with introduction of Climax Herbal energy drink.

According to the company, the non-alcoholic energy drink stimulates the mind and increases stamina. This was revealed by consumers after a three-day sampling exercise conducted by NB with a view to inducing purchase trials, as well as encourage Consumer switch from other energy drinks in the market.

Some consumers sampled, said, for now, Climax is the preferred energy drink, given its formulations that aid stimulation of the mind and increased stamina. Mrs Nnenna Hemeson, Senior Brand Manager, Fayrouz and Climax of NB, explained that the exercise was aimed at creating awareness. In between creating visibility for the brand, she added that new drinkers were also encouraged to switch over to the brand from other energy drinks due to its herbal content.

‘’Basically, the whole exercise is all about creating awareness and brand understanding”, she said, stressing that the brand continues to enjoy wide acceptability from consumers, ‘’because it’s the only energy drink with herbal content”. She noted that the sampling exercise took place simultaneously in Lagos, Abuja, Enugu, Port-Harcourt, Warri and Benin while the train shall move to other parts of the country in due course.
