Aladekomo  would lead a gathering of banking experts and professionals to discuss the future of banking in Nigeria and Stakeholders expectation at the forthcoming Annual Stakeholders Forum of the Bank Directors Association of Nigeria (BDAN)

The Annual Stakeholders forum of the Association brings together executive and non-executive directors of banks, officials of other financial institutions, regulatory authorities, professional bodies and executives of other leading companies in Nigeria. Thus it is an opportunity for banking professionals to network and also share thoughts on the theme of the Forum.

This year’s forum is scheduled to hold on Monday October 10 at the presitgious Oriental Hotel on  Lekki Expressway, Victoria Island, Lagos, The forum would be chaired by Sir. Steve Omojafor, Chairman, Zenith Bank Plc,  CBN Deputy Governor, Dr Kingsley Moghalu is the keynote speaker  while   Sir Aladekomo is the guest speaker.  Dr. Wiebe Boer, CEO, The Tony Elumelu Foundation will make a presentation on ‘’Impact Investing’’.

The theme for the forum, “Future of Banking in Nigeria: Stakeholders Expectations’’ was chosen against the backdrop of the reforms and changes in the nation’s financial sector and the nation at large vis-a-vis the new democratic dispensation, and the need for bank directors, being key decision makers in the industry, to be abreast of the how these changes would shape the future of banking in Nigeria so as to be prepared and position their organizations to benefit them.

As the umbrella body of bank directors charged with the responsibility to serve as a forum to enlighten and educate its members in regard to their responsibilities in respect to their banks, BDAN is poised to play  a leading role in preparing bank directors and the industry ahead of these changes.

That is why it has devoted this year’s annual stakeholders’ forum for this purpose. It is expected that the presentations, discussions and recommendations from the forum will significantly help the industry prepare and take advantage of these changes to influence the future of the banking business in the country.
