LAGOS -President, Nigerian Association of Master Mariners, NAMM, Captain Adejimi Adu, yesterday, called for an audit of the manpower requirements in the maritime industry.

Adu, who  spoke at the just-concluded “All Mariners’ Summit,” added that the manpower audit should include those in the oil and gas sector.

He said the only remedy to the dearth of maritime professionals in the country was the restructuring of Maritime Academy of Nigeria, MAN, Oron, Akwa Ibom State.
