To give “Thanks to God” for delivering one of their own from the claws of death, the Lagos State chapter of the Actors Guild of Nigeria,AGN, plans an elaborate dinner night in honour of the guild’s chairman, Board of Trustees, Mr Ifeanyi Dike, who returned to the country last Thursday after a successful kidney transplant in India.
Ifeanyi travelled to India three months ago with his wife to undergo a kidney transplant there.
His return last Thursday prompted celebration amongst his colleagues, who greeted his return with thanks and praises to God for saving him from dying.
Clad in an all white brocade and white hat to match, the BoT chairman, was received at the airport by the members of the guild led by its president, Segun Arinze, Zack Orji, Don Pedro Aganbi, Tony Akposhere, Emeka Rising, amongst other notable Nollywood stars.
Ifeanyi upon disembarking from the aircraft went straight to the Church for prayers and blessings before heading to the prestigious Hallie Selassie Hotel, Aguda, Surulere, where members of the guild held a brief reception in his honour.
Speaking at the reception, a rejuvenated Ifeanyi thanked all who made his trip to India a success.
“I thank you for your prayers and supports. I promised you that your promotion is assured. Those of you who are waka pass actors should begin to see yourselves as A-list stars from today. That is what I will help you to achieve”, he bantered.
The Lagos AGN chairman, Emeka Rising disclosed that the guild is putting plans in place to organise a special dinner night in honour of Ifeanyi. According to him, the date for the dinner night will be announced soon.
