Remember that young lady that blew everyone away with the single Omo too sexy released in 2009 and then kind of vanished? Well gist making the round has it that she has made a comeback.
Yes, after three years Justina Ogunlolu has resurfaced with two intriguing singles titled “So Tempting” (Omo Gbabe) and “Ashikituga”.
It is her massive comeback with both songs already enjoying massive airplav barely weeks after it’s release.
The singer who has been touring Europe with her band says she’s not back to ride on past glory. In her words, “I have been underground working really hard on myself and my music. I want listeners to really feel me on my new songs and not necessarily for my “Omo2Sexy” fame.
On “So Tempting”, produced by Del B, Justina takes time to woo the male folks in a groovy tone. The upbeat and rhythmic bass flow of the song makes it a potential party favourite.
In “Ashikituga” which means, “Your lie” in Delta Ibo, she explores her vocal strength to tell a story of mistrust and heartbreak, typical of some relationships. “My new songs are in contrast with each other; relationships come with its ups and downs but above all, I tried to strike a balance by reaching out to everybody.”
Two of Nigeria’s top directors will shoot the videos for both songs – one in London and the other in Nigeria. Justina also reveals that she has been in talks with Mo’Hits manager, Sunday Are who has also agreed to be her manager.
