FCT Minister makes case for polio vaccine

Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Minister, Senator Bala Mohammed, has called on parents, guardians and other care-givers in Abuja to make available their children for the ongoing house-to-house anti-polio immunisation.

Senator Mohammed spoke during the flag-off of the third round of 2011 sub-immunisation-plus days, IPDs, at Maitama General Hospital, Abuja, weekend.

He hailed the continued efforts of President Goodluck Jonathan and the numerous development partners towards ensuring “a polio-free Nigeria.”

While re-affirming the FCT administration’s strong commitment to the anti-polio vision, he said all traditional and religious leaders, including other players in the health industry, have been sensitised and mobilised towards ensuring that FCT to remain polio-free.
