Apoko master Terry G was celebrity guest runner at the August edition of the monthly Emzor celebrity run, just as the pharmaceutical firm said it was in the process of expanding the scope of the event.

The event which holds every 3rd Saturday of the month has grown from a keep fit idea for members of staff of Emzor to encompass their customers, neighbours and the best of Nigeria’s long distance runners drawn from as far afield as Jos.

The August edition witnessed a huge turn-out of over 700 runners who took off dressed in Emzor branded tee shirts.

Aminat Olowora and William Kefas both emerged winners in the female and male categories respectively and were presented with their trophies and cash prizes of N50,ooo each.

The presentation was done by Terry G who has joined the likes of MI, Naeto C, Sasha and Weird MC amongst others as Celebrity guest runners who have turned out to help Emzor preach its gospel of “unlimited wellness.”

Terry G told the excited audience that he jogs to keep fit, treated them to hit songs from his albums before handing over the trophies and posing for pictures with the winners.

In a statement from Emzor Group, Onyeka Onyeibor, DMD,  thanked “participants for keeping faith with Emzor and helping us spread our unlimited wellness philosophy which is geared towards ensuring a new generation of healthy Nigerians.”

Onyeibor said the company is “finalising plans to expand the race and take it outside their Isolo locale.”
