ABAKALIKI- Leadership of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Ebonyi State, Wednesday, accused the All Nigeria Peoples Party, ANPP, of employing instruments of blackmail as a way of relegating to the background, all the achievements of Governor Martin Elechi in the past four years.

The Party alleged that reports carried in some national dailies (not the Vanguard) on September 13 and 18, were falsehood and blackmail by the ANPP,  to arm twist and intimidate the Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Abakaliki into delivering misguided judgments on the governorship petitions presented to it.

At a press conference in Abakaliki, Chairman of PDP in the state, Mr. Ama-Ugoji Oti, stated that apart from the authors of the publication having no fixed addresses, they also elevated fraud to an art by deploying the titles of clergymen to their plots.

Mr. Oti who did not want to mention the names said: “While the sponsor of the orchestra of fraud is free to deceive himself that his evil track are covered by anonymity, we know him very well because a leopard cannot change it spots.”adding that “clearly, the publication is akin to a naked dance of a mad man who has lost every sense of propriety and reason in his desperate attemptto become Governor all costs”
