Call it a harvest of deaths in the actors’ house and you may not be wrong. Just a month after the industry lost one of its veteran actors, Sam Loco Efe to the cold hands of death, it is jolted again by the death of another famous star, Geraldine Ekecho.

HVP gathered that the popular actress who starred in more than 80 movies died on Monday, September 5, 2011, in Enugu.

Although a detail of the cause of her death is yet to be ascertained,renowned blogger, Linda Ikeji on her page said ‘the actress died on Monday after a fibroid operation in a hospital in Enugu’.

Also, actress Tonto Dike confirmed the sad news in one of her tweets on twitter.
