6 died in Lagos auto crash

Now fewer than six persons were, Monday, killed in a fatal auto crash that occurred  on the ever busy Third Mainland Bridge, leaving ten others with severe injuries.

The accident which involves  a white colored 18-seater commercial bus with Reg. No.  XT848BDG, which was said to be transporting passengers from the Ajah area of the state to Oshodi.

It was gathered that the driver of the ill-fated bus lost control of his vehicles when one of it  tires boosted, while he rode on a very high speed.

Some of the surviving victims told vanguard that the driver of the vehicle tried to control it as he forcefully applied the breaks of vehicle which made somersaulted repeatedly  before hitting the barricade on the bridge.

They noted that despite the force of the crash, the barricade provided a protective buff for the bus as it would have landed into the ocean.

All efforts to contact the state Police Spokesman, Samuel Jinadu proved abortive as calls made to his phone line went unanswered.
