10 years after, documentary on terrorist attacks on America out

DStv, Nigeria’s leading pay-TV, on Monday, screened to its viewers an exclusive interview by the former President of the United States of America, George W. Bush, as he reminisced on the terrorist attack on the USA on September 11, 2001.

The series tagged The 9/11 Specials was screened on National Geographic, Dstv channel 260 at 8.00pm local time. The former American leader gave deep insights into the incident which shook the world and later defined his Presidency.

Taped over two-days, former American President opened up with candid details and personal experiences on the gruelling hours and pressure-packed days following the attacks.

George W. Bush: The 9/11 Interview also opened a new window into his personal account, with never-before-released archival footage and exclusive materials directly from the George W. Bush Presidential Library.

Until now, the former president has never discussed on camera what he was thinking and feeling, and what drove his real-time, life-or-death decisions in the first minutes, hours and days after the attacks.

In the most in-depth televised interview he has given on the subject, George W. Bush revealed intimate details on what he grappled with as United States leader responsible for protecting his fellow citizens, and as a family man concerned for his loved ones.
