LAGOS,(AFP) – The Nigerian Super Eagles squad for next month’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Madagascar and the friendly with Argentina have named .
The powerful 25-man squad of the Super Eagles will battle hosts Madagascar on September 4 in a 2012 Nations Cup qualifier and two days later take on Argentina in Bangladesh in a rematch after the Super Eagles beat the South Americans 4-1 in Abuja in June.
Dynamo Kiev striker Brown Ideye has been given his first call-up by coach Samson Siasia since he was a last-minute replacement for injured John Mikel Obi at last year’s World Cup.
Ukraine-based defender Dele Adeleye is another making a comeback, along with Hoffenheim’s Chinedu Obasi and Danny Shittu of English Premier League newcomers Queens Park Rangers.
