The search for the next set of music talents begun with the audition of the MTN Project Fame West Africa Season 4, which attracted a large turnout of young music enthusiasts last Saturday in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.
The prospective candidates for Project Fame Academy stormed the Tafo Arena venue, located in the Ijokodo area of the ancient city, from several cities in the southwest region and faced a team of judges for a chance to enrol in the show when it commences in Lagos.
The judges were popular singer and ‘Eji Owuro’ exponent, Sola Allison; reggae star, Blakky and on-air personality, Adedamola Tinubu.
Encouraged by the turnout, Tinubu said that the MTN Project Fame West has come to stay and its popularity among Ibadan youths is overwhelming. “The turnout is more than what we had last year.
This further stretches the fact that MTN Project Fame West Africa has been widely accepted by the youths as a viable platform to see their dream of being music stars come to reality,” he said.
He was confident that the Ibadan audition would produce more talents like last season’s finalist, Yetunde Orija.
