Another building collapses in Lagos, many feared trapped

Another building,  Saturday, collapsed in Lagos. The latest incident occurred at Sagbemi Street, Adeniji Adele area of the metropolis at about 4p.m.

Four persons were said to have been rescued from the three-storey building believed to have served as  residence and shops for lightings. But many people, according to sources, were feared trapped under the debris.

The police public relations officer in Lagos State, Samuel Jinadu, confirmed the incident.

Sunday Vanguard learnt that street urchins capitalised on slow response of rescue officials to engage in looting.

Some residents said the building had for some time showed signs that it may collapse.

A couple of weeks ago, a building collapsed in Ketu area of the state.
