BY EMMA AMAIZE & AKPOKONA OMAFUAIRE

WARRI – THE Ohworode of Olomu Kingdom in Ughelli South Local Government Area of Delta State, HRM Ovie, R.L. Ogbon, Ogoni-Oghoro I, has said that true federalism was the way out for the nation to move forward.

Speaking at his palace, the royal father noted that, today in the country, the media are replete with detestable happenings, alien to our culture, traditions, values and life style.

“The non- implementation of genuine federalism or  practice of real democracy in the country, failed educational system, kidnapping, political assassinations, murder, unprecedented spate of fraud, bribery, corruption, endless industrial strikes due mainly to bad governance, injustice, nepotism, armed robbery and oppression of the poor, religious intolerance and emerging  menace of Boko Haram have become the order of the day.”

He added, “in order to effectively curtail the innumerable social, political and economic diseases and spiritual maladies of the nation, I appeal that all hands must be on deck. This way, we can move the country forward to our dream, in 2020.”
