Suarez voted best player at Copa America

  BUENOS AIRES  – (AFP) – Uruguay striker Luis Suarez, who scored in the 3-0 Copa America final victory over Paraguay on Sunday, was named the tournament’s best player.

The 24-year-old Liverpool attacker, who finished the tournament with four goals, was voted the top player by a panel of journalists.

Copa America roll of honour:

Champions: Uruguay

Runners-up: Paraguay

Third place: Peru

Fourth place: Venezuela

Best player: Luis Suarez (URU)

Top scorer: Paolo Guerrero (PER) – 5 goals

Best goalkeeper: Justo Villar (PAR)
