SEC DG, Oteh wins award

The Director-General of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) , Ms. Arunma has won an award for transforming the Nigerian capital market into a world class market through implementation of a far-reaching reform agenda.

African Business and Commonwealth Business Council, which gave the award to Oteh commended the SEC’s DG and her team for its reform activities.

Oteh was pronounced winner of the Award for Distinction in Public Service by the African Business Awards 2011 Committee.

According to a statement signed by SEC’s Head Media, Mr. Lanre Oloyi, “ The award signals international endorsement of the on – going reform of the Nigerian capital market.

It also indicates a gradual return of confidence in the market within discerning and crucial international circles.”

He stated , “ In a correspondence which communicated Oteh’s selection for the award, Omar Ben Yedder, Publisher, African Business and Managing Director, IC Events, sponsors / promoters of the awards, articulates the rationale for the choice of Oteh for the awards from among her peers thus:

“In according you this accolade, the Committee highlights your outstanding performance in public service.”
