Operatives of the Federal Special Anti -Robbery Squad, Adeniji Adele, Lagos have arrested a suspected member of a notorious robbery gang that specialized in snatching cars from Lagos and selling same outside the state.

•Olusegun Ofolorun - 58-year-old suspect

Recovered from the suspect, a 58- year -old man identified as Olusegun Ofolorun, was one of the vehicles suspected to have been stolen from its owner.

The suspect and other fleeing members of his gang reportedly stormed Ajah area of the state at about 5am, where they snatched a Honda Accord car with plate number UJ 365 KJA from the owner who was on his way to work.

Report said Policemen on patrol in the area arrived the scene when contacted and chased the robbers , who fled towards the Lagos /Ibadan expressway. Luck, however , ran against them as they were intercepted somewhere in Ibadan, Oyo state, after a three- hour chase.

Unfortunately for Olusegun, his partners in crime fled, leaving him to fate, as he was subsequently arrested. The suspect, was later charged before an Igbosere court and has been remanded in prison custody and his case adjourned till August 9, 2011.
