NNPC Retail, a subsidiary of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, in collaboration with Capital Oil & Gas, a downstream oil marketing company, has concluded arrangements to commence the direct distribution of kerosene to households in the country through the use of ultra modern mobile fuel dispensing trucks which made its debut on the streets of Lagos, weekend in a test run exercise.

The project is designed to provide lasting remedy to the prevailing artificially induced challenge in the distribution of house hold kerosene to homes in Nigeria.

Speaking at the flag-off of the pilot scheme, Dr Levi Ajuonuma, Group General Manager, Group Public Affairs Division of the NNPC, said that the pilot project which was restricted to some areas in Lagos would provide an invaluable knowledge base for the NNPC in good time to perfect any noticeable shortcomings in the programme before the eventual full blown deployment of the dispensing trucks.
