By Suzan Edeh

BAUCHI-The Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC,  has accused the federal, states and local governments of allegedly playing politics with the new salary scale for civil servants in the country.

The congress however warned that hat it was too late in the day for any of the three tiers of government to renege on the implementation of the N18,000 new minimum wage.

Bauchi State chapter of the NLC which gave the warning in an interview with Vanguard said that the governors of the 36 states were particularly dishonest to their workers over the issue as they had agreed to implement the law on the new wages before the general elections.

The NLC gave the three tiers of government an ultimatum within which to comply with the new wages or face nation-wide strike.
