Jonathan swears in ‘batch A’ ministers

A cross section of the newly sworn-in ministers, Saturday, at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

President Goodluck Jonathan has just concluded the swearing of his batch A minsters.

He ordered 12 out of the 14 ministers sworn in, Saturday, to go back  to their former ministries.

Those sworn in are  former ministers of National Planning, Dr. Shamsudeen Usman; Mines and Steel, Mr. Mohammed Musa Sada; Information and Communication, Labaran Maku; Transport, Yusuf  Sulieman; former Attorney General of the Federation (AGF) and minister of Justice, Mohammed Bello Adoke and  new appointees Hajia Zainab Maina and Mrs Stella Oduah-Ogiemwonyi.

Others are former ministers of Petroleum Resources, Mrs. Diezani Alison-Madueke; Niger Delta, Elder Godsday Orubebe; Labour and Productivity, Emeka Wogu; Health, Professor Onyebuchu Chukwu; Education, Prof. Ruqqayattu Rufai; Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Bala Mohammed and former FCT minister of state, Capt. Caleb Olubolade (rtd).

The Senate on Wednesday and Thursday cleared the batch A ministers.

However, the new ministers, Hajia Zainab Maina and Mrs Stella Oduah-Ogiemwonyi will be assigned  their  respective portfolios,  Monday.
