LAGOS — Emirates Airlines Senior Vice- President for Africa, Jean Luc Grillet, flew into the country weekend to honour top Nigerian travel agents for their effective partnership with the airline.
The travel agencies are Good News Travels, Godspower Travel Agency and Touch Down Travels.
Consequently, Grillet awarded gongs to three top travel agents, including Good News Travels and Tours which won awards in five categories, namely top selling agent, number one selling agent for the Middle East, number one agent for the Far East and Australia, number one agent for Europe and top seller for economy class.
Grillet said at the presentation ceremony: “Emirates understands that the Nigerian market is unique and that is why I have travelled here today to recognise the achievements of our top three travel agents.”
“This is an opportunity to honour all the agents who have supported our business and to underline our appreciation of our loyal customers within Nigeria.”
The Chief Executive of Good News Travels and Tours, Mrs Ukachukwu Ozioma, expressed delight with the award, saying it would serve as the necessary tonic for the agency to work harder.
She said: “There is nothing more satisfying than seeing my efforts crowned with success today. I am very appreciative to have met the Senior Vice President and I will do my best to retain my top selling position.”
Gods Power Travel Agency was named second best selling agent whilst Touchdown Travels was named the third top selling agent overall, plus the Number One Agent for First and Business Class Sales and the Number One Seller for the USA.
