Tim Dakolo

Timi Dakolo may have been the winner of the highly celebrated West African idols in 2007, but he is also the most tongue lashed winner any music reality show has ever produced in recent years .

In fairness, this is partly not his fault but then, fans had been frustrated when for a full year, nothing had been seen or heard about his forth coming album which should have dropped as announced shortly after the season wrapped up.

Timi had been accused of leaving everyone in the dark especially fans who didn’t know what was happening to his music and career.

On the other hand, Omawummi Megbele; the first runner up at the same competition was already shooting down stars with her hit single.

Today, however, it seems Timi has not learned. Only recently, he snubbed this writer’s prompting shed light on his life, music and career.

Instead it was a visibly irritated Timi who snapped at the writer saying “Please I can’t talk to you now, you are distracting me from this match, I can’t grant you your interview, I don’t do anything else when I’m watching a football match. Everything waits when I’m watching football”

Timi had been billed to perform at an event in Lekki Lagos, last weekend which he did in a snap before vanishing from the scene.

This writer had searched for him until he was found screaming with other football lovers viewing the Champions league final match via a live sized screen at a club inside the event building.
