The Nigerian entertainment landscape is set to be taken by storm as Amstel Malta, launches a new, campus_based activation called Amstel Malta Showtime.
The show, which is targeted at undergraduates, will be staged in selected universities spread across Nigeria. Those who think they have what it takes to be the best in the areas of poetry, comedy, dance and music, will get a chance to register and audition for a talent competition in which they can win lots of fabulous prizes. Participants also get a chance to Be the Best with the Best, by performing on stage alongside stars that have been lined up for the shows.
The artistes lined up for Amstel Malta Showtime include Nigeria’s rapping sensation, MI, R n B crooner, Banky W, Whiz Kid and Mo Chedda. Other musical acts recruited to thrill the crowds include Jesse Jagz, Ice Prince, Kas and Skuki.
Leading comedians such as Omo Baba, Seyi Law, Gandoki and Bovi will also headline some of the shows, reeling out their rib_cracking jokes. In the area of dance, Xplicit and Dance Na The Main Thing are expected to keep the guests’ attention glued to the stage with their unique dance steps. Showtime will also feature poetry from Jeffrey Plumbline and Sage.
According to Mr. Jacco van der Linden, Marketing Director, Nigerian Breweries Plc: “The Amstel Malta Showtime activation is a first_of_its_kind, campus_based event in Nigeria which uniquely combines music, comedy, dance and poetry. Our carefully selected line up of performers will appeal to these audiences. We guarantee that they will keep the crowds fully entertained. I can assure you that during Amstel Malta Showtime, there will be no dull moment.”
