ABUJA-As part of the Federal Government’s airport rehabilitation programme, the Minister of Aviation, Mrs. Fidelia Njeze, will on Tuesday   commission the expanded apron, perimeter fence and road at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja.

The Federal Executive Council had, last Wednesday, approved N22.3bn for major infrastructural upgrade of the Murtala Muhammed Airport, Lagos; Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja; Port Harcourt International Airport, Omagwa; Akanu Ibiam International Airport, Enugu, and the Margaret Ekpo International Airport, Calabar.

The Managing Director of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, Mr. Richard Aisuebeogun, said, weekend in Lagos, that the three projects slated for commissioning in Abuja were awarded in July 2010 and completed in April 2011.
