Appointments: Uduaghan urged to look beyond PDP

BY JIMITOTA ONOYUME
PORT-HARCOURT— TO win the war against counterfeit drugs and unwholesome food, National Agency for Food Drug Administration and Control, NAFDAC, has appealed to Nigerians to report any suspicious activities around factories and warehouses in their areas.

Director General of the Commission, Mr Paul Orhi, who made the appeal in Port Harcourt at a staholders forum, also enjoined the public to draw attention of his agency to those using bromate as bread enhancer.

He said NAFDAC had long acquired a device which will enable its men detect counterfeit medicines on the spot at border points round the country.

He counselled against buying any consumable when the names and manufacturers of the products are not visible.
“I also call on you to continue to support NAFDAC in its fight against fake/counterfeit and substandard drugs,” he added.
