Jos – Three people died in the Plateau State capital, Tuesday, in an outbreak of fresh hostilities.
Two of them were killed in Duala area of Nasarawa Gwom overnight, which triggered violent protests from youths, one of whom was killed when security men opened fire while trying to stop their protest.
The two people whose corpses were found by the road side around Duala in the morning were believed to have been attacked by “enemy camp”.
The protesting youths took over the highway and molested passers-by and motorists before security men moved in to disperse them.
Normalcy was restored after a while after the initial commotion.
Efforts to get the police or the special task force to comment on the incident failed.
