THE Order of Knights of Saint John International, KSJ, Nigeria Temple has appealed to the Senate to emulate the House of Representatives by equally passing the Freedom of Information, FoI, Bill without delay, saying those who are opposed to the Bill have skeletons in their cupboards.

In a chat with newsmen in Lagos, yesterday, to announce the exemplification of some distinguished Nigerians into the 5th Noble Degree of the Holy Cross Knights of St John International, scheduled for tomorrow at the Church of Ascension, Ikeja, Noble Eugene Emenalo, Noble Grand Master, Sir Kola Olowu, Lagos Grand President; Noble Donatus Obialo, Noble Scribe, and other officers of the Order said, “those who do not feel happy with the FoI Bill have skeletons in their cupboards and should be left to die with those things in their cupboard so that we can have freedom of information in the country.”

Those to be exemplified include Governor Rotimi Amaechi of Rivers State, Ambassador Matthew Mbu,  134 eminent members of the Catholic Clergy and selected members of the Order.

On the forth coming general elections, the Order urged Nigerians to vote credible people who can move the country forward into positions of authority, saying: “The country is blessed with a lot of resources, so we need people who can channel these resources to do useful things that will benefit the common man. If that is done Nigeria will move forward anf it will be best for all of us and our generations yet unborn.”
