Under-23 team chief coach, Augustine Eguavoen, says today’s match against Equatorial Guinea is a must win for him and his wards, stressing that their 4-1 victory over Insurance Football Club of Benin on Tuesday was just a tip of the iceberg.

“The 4-1 margin has shown what the Saturday match will be but nevertheless the target is to do well and qualify for the London Olympics next year,”he said.
Meanwhile former Nigerian international Nduka Ugbade has described the Under-23 team’s victory over Insurance of Benin as sign of what to expect on today when they file out against Equatorial Guinea in an Olympic qualifier at the Samuel Ogbemudia stadium in Benin city.
Ugbade said the warm-up friendly will keep the players on their toes ahead of the Olympic qualifier and also ginger them towards picking the ticket to London 2012.
“The warm-up match victory against Insurance football club of Benin on Tuesday might bwe replicated against Equatorial Guinea on Saturday if they are focussed and ready to give their best on the pitch of play.
“Some of the players who graduated from the U-20 to this present team will bring more understanding in the team and their coach is not a first timer in any national side
They should however, not take any thing for granted,” Ugbade advised.
