*As Akala asks electorate not to trust Ladoja

IBADAN – CONTRARY to expectations that there was frosty relationship between Governor Adebayo Alao-Akala of Oyo State and the Senate leader, Senator Teslim Folarin over the incarceration of the latter for alleged involvement in the murder of the former factional leader of the National Union of Road Transport Workers, NURTW, Alhaji Lateef Salako ak.a. Eleweomo, the senator has reportedly agreed to work with the governor.

The two had been locked in a battle over the re-election of the governor with each side throwing banters. But, Vanguard gathered that plan for working with the governor was being fine-tuned by the senator to help the governor achieve his ambition.

Also, the former Deputy National Chairman of the PDP (South West), Alhaji Yekini Adeojo was said to have been pressurized to support the governor by the National secretariat of the party in Abuja.

This hint was dropped by one of the close associates of the senator, Mr. Ademola Akeem Ige when speaking with newsmen in yesterday. Vanguard gathered that the founder of the party in the state had thrown in the towel and had resolved to work with the governor.

According to the political associates of the senator who had remained in his political nest after being let off the hook on the instruction of the presidency, Senator Folarin remained the PDP leader in the country and would never work against the interest of the party.

This came as Governor Adebayo Akala described his former boss, Senator Rashidi Ladoja a cynical leader who never listened to advice from other political stakeholders in the state.

He disagreed with Ladoja on his intention to transform the state if elected in the April election, adding that the people of the state should not trust him with their votes..
