Party loyalists clash in Lagos

Save for a timely intervention by a team of mobile policemen from Gowon Estate and Agbado-Oke odo police station, a fresh crisis would have erupted at Oki Village in Alimosho Local Council Development Area, LCDA.

Trouble started when some loyalists of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in the community went round the area to deface posters meant for the candidates of Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN and replaced them with that of PDP candidates.

However, a some good samaritan put a call across the nearest police station and both the LCDA chairmen from Agbado-Oke Oke Odo Pastor Kenny Okunmuyide and his Mosan-Okunola counterpart Mr. Abiodun Mafeto who rushed to the scene to restore peace to the area.

Both chairmen, however, called on the people to sheath their sword and live in peace, saying politics is not a do-or-die affair. Meanwhile, the police from Gowon Estate has made some arrest as no live was lost.
