WARRI- A group, identified as the Democratic Militia has claimed responsibility for the arson, in the early hours of Tuesday, at the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC office in Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State.

“Lieutenant” Tamuno Labutua In a statement made available to Vanguard on behalf of the group said the arson was carried out by men of its Freedom Fighting Squad.

The group said the Ughelli INEC arson was the first in the series of strikes that will take place across the state and was carried to serve as a “serious warning to INEC, security agencies and all political parties that election rigging of all kinds shall no longer be tolerated in Delta state”.

“The soul the riggeth election shall die, we wish to make it abundantly clear that only a free, fair and credible election will be acceptable to Deltans. Only a governor that emerges by popular votes will govern Delta state.

“Any attempt by INEC officials, security agencies to rig Delta elections shall mean steady killings of such persons, their wives and children, no matter where they are until justice is achieved for the common people of Delt
