The two day roadshow events organized by the UK Trade and Investment(UKTI) in conjuction with the foreign and commonwealth office, prime sponsors access bank and the private sector with the theme, Making Nigeria your Goal is expected to take place, march 2011.

The events which come as a successful spin off from a similar event titled making Africa your goal  which was held at wembely stadium in may 2010 will commence on the 29th at theArsenal FC, Emirates Stadium, London and Manchester United FC, Old Trafford  Stadium.

The objective of the programme according to the UK Trade and Investment Director Peter Stephenson, is to showcase Nigeria as representing a real opportunity and realistic assessments of business engagements in Nigeria as well as with potential Nigeria business partners.

Owing to the tremendous growth rate of over 7%, the UK has mapped out an ambitious plan to double this under the UK Governments’ Growth and prosperity agenda in the next five years.

High profile speakers expected to grace the occasion include Henry Bellinghan, UK Parliamentary Under secretary of State for Africa AND Overseas Territories and the Lord Mayor of the City of London, Alderman Michael Bear.
