Nigerians in diaspora condemn Jos killings

A group, Nigerians in Diaspora Organisa-tion, NIDO, in Americas, has condemned the incessant killing of innocent Nigerians in parts of the country, especially in Jos, Abuja and Maiduguri, and urged Nigerians to assist the security agencies in apprehending the Perpetrators.

In a statement by Victor Ugoh, Vice Chairman and  Segun Adeyina, Public Relations Officer, the group said: “It has been disheartening for us to wake up every day to hear of our brothers and sisters being murdered in cold blood. In the last few years many innocent Nigerians have lost their lives to senseless killings.

“The most recent events of bomb blasts in Jos and Abuja have murdered innocent victims and have left many families in mourning.

“We would like to make it clear that these acts are not only barbaric and primitive, but sponsored, organised and perpetuated by individuals who do not want progress for our home country. These individuals are terrorists and their actions should be met with tough sanctions.”

According to the group, “if their aim is to weaken the position of the government, we are pretty confident that the current administration will demonstrate that these actions will not be tolerated.
