The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced results from 16 Local Government Areas in the Delta State Governorship election.

From the results released so far, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan of the PDP is ahead polling 87001, while Chief Great Ogboru of the DPP polled 71563. There are 15,438 votes between the two top candidates.

There are 25 local government areas in Delta State.

The election had Dr Emmanuel Uduaghan of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Chief Great Ovadje Ogboru of the Democratic Peoples Party (DPP) as front-runners.
