In compliance with the Nigeria Football Federation directive that state football associations should organise elections into their boards, the Bayelsa state FA Friday concluded its elections and the former chairman, Dr Lucky Gospel Ewa was returned as chairman. Ewa defeated Prince Edesime Ere by 10 votes to 5 to retain his seat.
Chief Patimidi Turuku was elected as vice chairman. Other members of the new Bayelsa state FA board include include ThankGod Obom, Obed Waribuoko, Ebi Avi, and Bravema Wodi.
Others include Mary Gasa, Joel Okoyen and Okubokakpo Ombu.In his post victory speech, the chairman, Lucky Gospel Ewa thanked the delegates for the confidence they had in him and congratulated the elected members, promising to work with everybody for the development of football in Bayelsa state.
