WARRI—THE Delta State Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN, led by factional Chairman of the party, Dr. Mike Emuh has congratulated, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan on his re-run election victory. It has also commended the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, Chairman, Prof. Attahiru Jega, for conducting a free and fair election saying it was an eloquent testimony that 2011 elections would be highly successful.

The party also hailed the endorsement of Lagos State Governor, Babatunde Fashola by the ACN leadership led by Chief Bisi Akande and Asiwaju Bola Tinubu for a second term.

The congratulatory message was contained in a statement in Warri yesterday.

According to Emuh, “we congratulate his Excellency Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan for his landslide victory at the just concluded re_run elections. We also salute the INEC chairman, Prof. Jega for conducting a free and fair election.”

“We also hail the endorsement of Governor Fashola by the visionary leaderships of Ahmed Bola Tinubu and the ACN national leader, Chief Bisi Akande, the endorsement will enhance the consolidation of the many laudable projects which the governor has started and he will surely return as the next governor of Lagos State.” He added.

He added further that “the ACN Delta State stood for violence free elections and condemned all formed for thuggery and the sort that culminate in the burning of Ughelli INEC office and sent condolences to the families of the three persons that were reported killed in Ughelli North.”

Dr. Emuh appealed to those aggrieved members of his party to come back to the party so as to join hands in playing meaningful give and take politics devoid of rancour and acrimony. He also thanked the youths for maintaining the peace during and after the election.
