PDP chieftain flays Works minister on Edo road

By Victor Ahiuma-Young
A CHIEFTAIN of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Edo State, Chief Aisowere Igiebor, Sunday, described the statement credited to the Minister of State for Works, Eng. Chris Ogiemwonyi, that Edo State government should stop work on the Akpakpava/Uselu/Oluku/Lagos Road as self-serving, unfortunate, and out of order.

Chief Igiebor who is a leader in Edo South Senatorial District said, “The Federal Government has a 4-lane road existing and Edo State government is establishing a 5th and 6th lane without altering the existing one. It was shocking to watch the Minister on television,  announcing the revocation of the contract.

“It is self serving in a most negative way in the sense that if his intention is to propagate his aspiration of running a gubernatorial election on the platform of our party, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP,  in the state, then he is unable to draw the line between governance and politics.
