As the nation awaits the result of the Nigeria Football Federation interview of coaches Stephen Keshi and Samson Siasia, Eagles manager at the 2002 World Cup, Adegboye Onigbinde continues to express disdain over the remarks made by Siasia, questioning the integrity of the NFF technical committee.
Siasia who is clearly the Nigerian football fans favourite for the Eagles manager job, openly accused the NFF technical committee of making up their minds Keshi, before the interview yesterday.
But Onigbinde declared that Siaisia opened his mouth too wide.
“How could he say that, when we haven’t taken a decision. The NFF technical committee has not even met when he made those remarks.
“I don’t know why he was saying all that. I think that remark is the saying of a man who lacks confidence in himself,” said the former Shooting Stars of Ibadan coach.
He counseled that Siasia needs to show some respect and restrain in his utterance as it would serve him a world of good in his career.
The technical committee was inaugurated on Tuesday in Abuja and their first assignment was to select a coach for the Eagles. Chris Green is the chairman of the committee while Enyimba chief, Felix Anyansi Agwu is the vice chairman while Emmanuel Ikpeme is to serve as the secretary.
Other members of the NFF’s technical committee are Christian Chukwu, Paul Bassey, Chief Adegboye Onigbinde, and ex Super Eagles midfielder, Garba Lawal. Others are Garba Ila, Victor Ikpeba, Deji Tinubu, and former Super Eagles Captain, Austin Okocha.
